But you could use a different method: load all articles from blog feed, (reorder them,) and display them using pagination.

I have done another version of the chronological post order, which uses this method. It can be found here: http://yabtb.blogspot.fi/2011/10/blogger-feed-chronological-order-posts.html

The code in the article uses Google Feed API, if you want to use json feed, I've modified the code, link in this comment http://yabtb.blogspot.fi/2011/10/blogger-feed-chronological-order-posts.html?showComment=1359987835150#c6807246255567172235.

You should reorder the articles in "doThings" function using the method you want before showing them.

Hope this gives you some ideas where to go :)MS-potilashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05137522196636058302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6729541215652149967.post-41051847651239105222016-06-06T22:52:13.134+03:002016-06-06T22:52:13.134+03:00hi admin.. your article is great .. very creative....hi admin.. your article is great .. very creative...thanks to you..

Currently..i'm looking for a solution to reorder blog post by number ascending or descending.. for example : http://rd-center.blogspot.my/

The sorting script functioned well but the problem is it's only sort by single page not the whole pages.. how to hack the system so that it can sort the whole pages by single click like blogger "order by date" works.

hopefully you could share it with us.. very thankful to you...

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17978376634770365952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6729541215652149967.post-23969286374737718942016-04-27T19:25:38.084+03:002016-04-27T19:25:38.084+03:00Hi there! I had found a pictographic template I like, and think it interfered with your code, so I re-wrote the JS to work:

var Blog1 = document.getElementById('Blog1');
var Posts = Blog1.getElementsByClassName('date-outer');
var lastPost = Posts.length - 1;

var i = 0;
while (i < lastPost) {
Blog1.getElementsByClassName('blog-posts')[0].insertBefore(Posts[lastPost], Posts[i]);
i++;
}

It basically finds Blog1, counts the "date-outer" divs below it, and assumes that's the post count. then shuffles them around as necessary.

http://wetroomblog.blogspot.co.uk/

If the template used doesnt have the same "date-outer" div hierarchy under Blog1, it will need to be modified to work.

Also, in doing so, realised I can specify any particular post in any particular position, so that could be useful if I want certain posts sticky in the future. Would do this by using the InsertBefore function with a fixed index on the Posts array.

Took me a while to figure it all out, so hope it helps someone in the future!

Cheers,
BenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16409394192086728439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6729541215652149967.post-2194079261586094342013-10-26T12:20:30.721+03:002013-10-26T12:20:30.721+03:00@HenningKO

Sorry. ]

I'm not too big of a coder, but I was able to get chronological order to work over the whole blog, including labels and archive by just commenting out that conditional at the beginning of your code:

And of course, same with the </b:if> at the close. It seems like this is what a lot of people are looking for. I, for one, am not interested in preserving the typical blog order of the default page, I just want my whole blog to work in chrono order and your code, with my little tweak (and also your dates on all posts hack) works great for this! You don't have to worry about applying it to specific urls or always giving your url to people with the #order=ASC attached, it just works without that conditional telling it WHERE specifically to work...

Check it out: the blog in questionAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02684444549726109409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6729541215652149967.post-56487906044855552792013-05-01T16:57:49.629+03:002013-05-01T16:57:49.629+03:00@Dominic
